PPG: Update for March 2022

PPG Membership

We are delighted to welcome Sue Jackson and Diane Kane as new members of the Group and thank them for agreeing to donate their time.

Retirement of Brenda Bateman

On behalf of the Surgery team and PPG we would like to express a massive vote of thanks to all who contributed thoughts and donations to Brenda’s leaving gifts. We wish Brenda and her husband a long, healthy and well-deserved retirement.

New Staff at the Surgery

Deborah Ebsworth will progressively pick up her role as Practice Nurse from the end of March. Attempts to attract a new GP to the Practice continue and hopefully there will be some positive news on this in the not too distant future.

Vaccinations

Please note the current round of Covid boosters (75yr and older) will not be administered from the Surgery and thus eligible patients are asked to await contact from the NHS concerning their appointment. Please do not bother the Surgery. As the overseas holiday season picks up a reminder that the Surgery offers a full travel vaccination service. For advice and appointment please contact the Surgery well in advance of your planned trip.

Gardening Team

We now have a small group of PPG members and volunteers who are being co-ordinated by Jojo Bates. A pre-Xmas bulb planting has been followed by a recent general tidy-up and snowdrop planting session. Further activities are planned as the season advances.
